Shi-Cang (ACCEF No. 16) Elementary School was established in 1948. The school is located in Ni-Long
village(泥龙乡), Ping-Chang county (平昌县),
Si-Chuan province in
China. Currently there are 105 students and 5 teachers. As the school building
was built in 1940s, the buildings become dangerous. The estimated budget for a new school is 169,000 RMB. Although the local
government will provide 100,000 RMB (including donation from local
villagers), the school still has a shortage of funding. In order to get the students
out of the dangerous classrooms as soon as possible, ACCEF decided to donate
69,000 RMB to close the budget gap. The new school will serve 120 students and teachers from a population of ~1300 people.
